Hello Big Sweep volunteers across Wake County!  Each year Wake County sponsors trash pickups around public water bodies in the county.  Big Sweep is coordinated by the Wake Soil & Water Conservation District and made possible by Wake County, Ocean Conservancy, and a host of partners from our local towns, parks, civic clubs, businesses, schools and other organizations who care about clean water and advocate litter prevention.  There are seventeen fall-fabulous cleanups that need your help.  If you have an appreciation for our waters, enjoy the great outdoors, and like to meet new people with the same interests, then here is your opportunity.

And this year, come out to the family-friendly event, "Raise the Lot" on Saturday, October 15th at 11 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh from 11 AM - 4 PM.  This is a fundraiser aimed at raising money for volunteer supplies.  There will be local music, local beer, food trucks, and children's activities!

For more information about the Wake County Big Sweep program, call 919-250-1065, or check out the 2016 Fall Schedule and pre-register today!
