The NCWRA in conjunction with the Water Resources Research Institute of the UNC system is currently planning our WRRI Annual Conference to be held March 15-16 in Raleigh.  This year’s conference will feature the Nile Project.  Attendees will gain insight into innovative approaches to collaboration around water issues related to society, the environment, economics, security and politics (nileproject.org).  Conference sessions will help us consider our own approaches to water management in North Carolina.

The 2017 conference will bring an international perspective through the Nile Project that will relate to problem solving and collaboration here in our state. The Nile Project is presented in partnership with NC State LIVE, NCSU’s  performing arts program whose mission it is to connect artists and audiences in a meaningful exploration of the diverse cultures and issues that define our communities and world.

In addition, this year's conference will feature field tours of NCSU's Solar House and Green Infrastructure!  There is also a Mentorship Program offering to connect students and recent graduates with professionals.
